SOLE CLASSIC

A sublime pair of lace-up platform shoes in black calf leather with slightly pointed toe featuring classic men ́s dress shoe-inspired detailing. Platform is covered with high shine patent leather.

The platform consist of two levels. Its lower part is smaller thus creating an floating above ground feel by elevating the shoe 12mm/0.5 inches. The upper is partially enclosed in the platform construction as the last is sunken into the platform sole.

WEAR + CARE

Patent Leather:

Patent leather is basically a leather that has been coated with a high gloss finish. To obtain this glossy surface, in the final step of tanning, a varnish or lacquer is applied. Caring for Patent shoes is relatively easily with some care and attention. 

Remove dust and light dirt gently with a damp cloth and a drop of mild soap or leather saddle soap, leave to dry. Buff with a dry soft polishing cloth. To keep it´s high shine look it is important to only use products specifically designed for use on Patent leather. Products for Patent leather that cleans, conditions, protects and add shine.

To Clean: (on Leather parts of shoes only)

Take off any laces before beginning and use soft bristled brush to sweep of preliminary dirt and dust. Remove dirt by cleaning with a smooth leather shoe cleaner made specially for Calf leather or a leather saddle soap. Cleaner that contain an acid or a detergent are damaging to fine leathers, and will age the shoe. Select with care which cleaner product to use.

Let dry before proceeding.

To Condition:

Conditioning your leather shoes will help soften and moisturise the leather. It will protect leather from drying out and cracking whilst replacing the leather´s natural oils. Use a conditioner for Calf leather, look for a natural conditioner that is absorbed into the material of the shoe.

Let it soak. Later, use paste or cream polish to shine your shoes. 

To Polish:

Use a high quality paste or cream when polishing your shoes. Make sure the polish matches the shoes and that the product moisturises fine leather, keeps it flexible, and soaks into the leather and allow the leather to breath (not every treatment product goes with every type of leather).

Shine your shoes by buffing them with a soft polishing cloth or a soft bristled brush to bring out a high lustre.

Leather Protectant - Use of Waterproofing product  (as waterproofing shoe polish & paste or spray-on water repellent)

Waterproofing your leather shoes will help to protect them from water and should be used before wearing. Always following instructions on the Waterproofing product and make sure covering the sides of sole to protect against product application  (do not use the water repellent product on the platform sole).

The platform sole elevate the shoe above the ground and the shoe´s leather upper is not directly exposed, so therefore it may not be necessary with a Waterproofing product treatment.
